LEGO Ideas Yellow Submarine!

Well, this is cool, innit? As a longtime Beatles fan, I'm quite excited. LEGO Ideas has announced the release of set 21306, Yellow Submarine! It's an over-550-piece model of the Yellow Sub itself, including four minifigures of the Beatles!

An update: Looking towards the future

This is the first post in nearly a year, and continues in the long line of those posted a long time after the previous. I'd like to use this post to address you, the readers, and tell you exactly how I see the future of this blog as it stands.

As many of you know, BIONICLE has been canceled for the second time, an action I foresaw LEGO taking. The only extant CCBS sets are the Star Wars: Rogue One Ultrabuilds, which are a far cry from the level of inspiration we saw in 2011 with the release of Ordeal of Fire.

As two college students, we at StoneHart LEGO have had little time to create or post new MOCs, and the second generation of BIONICLE provided little inspiration. In our spare time, we have created some new characters, but otherwise nothing new has emerged from our imaginations.

As mentioned before, we at StoneHart are college students with busy schedules which lend little to no time to devote to LEGO creations, let alone to post on this blog. This explains why you've seen no activity for nearly a year. With this in mind, I expect the activity level you've seen in recent years (yes, years) to remain largely the same: little to no posting.

That aside, I expect that we will eventually create some more characters and storylines that we've been willing to post. Whenever that happens, you'll be seeing it here at StoneHart LEGO.

LEGO Bionicle sets at Nuremberg Toy Fair

At this year's Nuremberg Toy Fair, LEGO began teasing out the summer 2015 Bionicle releases, and the names are real! Many new, interesting pieces, too many to name, in fact! The gold/transparent marbled masks are also definitely welcome!

LEGO Bionicle summer 2015 names?

According to a Eurobricks user, these are the names of the 5 rumored sets that will be coming out in the summer of 2015. Do these seem real to you?

Hmmm....
AND there will also be a Bionicle polybag released this spring, but its contents are currently unknown.

And finally, the winter wave of Bionicle sets are starting to pop up before the "street date" of January 1st. I will probably go hunting for some sets at some point in the future, and if I find 'em, I'll review 'em! I've promised it before and never committed, so I think I'll actually try out reviewing!

Bionicle 2015 trailer video

Bionicle's return in 2015 has been confirmed to be a hard reboot, as evidenced by this video shown at the New York Comic-Con on October 9th.

In this video, a small portion of the backstory is given, with a few changes, namely:

• The island of Mata Nui is now called Okoto.
• Mata Nui's role is filled by a character named Ekimu who wears the Mask of Creation.
• Makuta is the name of the evil character, but he is not related to Teridax or the species of Makuta from the 2001 Bionicle series.
